Yahoo really seems to be the most eligible bachelor in the search Indian world. It seems to be as popular as an Indian techie who came to get his masters in the U.S., then took a job with some Fortune 500 firm and is now flying back to India to get married and people are lined up to marry their daughters to him. Irrespective of what he really is about they are just ranking him since he lives and works in the U.S. Isn't the story with Yahoo the same? Lot of Indian stocks have taken beating during the recent month. Some are down by almsot 50%.
The Wall Street Journal has reported today that Microsoft has decided not to aise the bid for Yahoo. Their rationale - No competitive offers. I think that Fox will be making move now. And really in my opinion, Yahoo is better off acquiring MySpace than merging with Microsoft. Would be interesting to see what happens next in the Search Engine world.
